You know the market's in a recession when Google enters a hiring freeze.
On a more personal level, here's my retirement (glad it's 40 years off). We changed providers pretty recently, so you're looking at just a few months of data. Yellow is employee/company contributed, blue is actual value.
Google has a good way to watch the results pour in. It'll probably be slightly behind other ones, but otherwise will probably be the easiest.
It seems like Google has been around forever, but just seven short years ago their search was brought online. Incredible, they really came out of nowhere and changed the whole face of the internet. Who knows what we will see in the next few years.
