Pinkberry

June 12th, 2007

Apparently there is a Pinkberry (careful the song on the website is strangely alluring) coming to the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego. It's supposed to be pretty good, the taste that launched 1,000 parking tickets.

It has been called "Crackberry" and "frozen heroin juice" by its fans and detractors because many of the college kids, television writers and well-to-do families who cheerfully queue up as many as four nights in a single week agree with food blogger Rosie O'Neill, who wrote recently: "I would get Pinkberry IV'ed into my veins if I could."

Apparently it's worth checking out. For those of you in the area, it's going in the old P B Home & Garden building:

Eric, Eric, Eric. You have so lost your midwestern edge. Sigh. Posting about Beverly Hills based frozen yogurt shops coming to town? What happened to the bbq joints and diners?

Whatever’s going on… the Pinkberry slated to Open November 1st at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego will definitely be open before the Hillcrest location. (Although the PinkBerry for Hard Rock may not open until November 15th…)
