Phil’s BBQ

Phil's BBQ
Generally because I'm too lazy to pack a lunch, I end up eating out. One of my favorite local restaurants is Phil's BBQ. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is awesome. I've realized when restaurants become chains they can lose this. Hopefully Phil's doesn't, as they are taking over the old Homefire grill in the Sports Arena area, for Phil's BBQ #2.

Other local favorites include:
El Indio - The taquito was invented here
Saffron - Awesome Thai Chicken/Noodles
Shakespeare's - Authentic British Pub (mushy pea's mm)
Bronx Pizza - Authentic NY pizza and attitude
Hodad's - Ocean Beach Burgers
Filippi's Pizza Grotto - Authentic Italian Pizza
BlueWater Grill - Just seafood, any way you want it
Old Town Mexican Cafe - Classic good mexican food, always take the visitors here
Con Penne - Awesome french bakery in Point Loma

Update:
It appears there are a lot of google searches looking for Phil's BBQ in sports arena area. Since it is taking over homefire grill I assume the new address will be. Unfortunately I do not know when it will be opening.
