Mythbusters Minigun

November 25th, 2007

If you're a fan of Mythbusters (I think you can watch full episodes over at Discovery.com) you'll love this (well even if you aren't). Jamie borrows a "toy" to test their "Shooting Fish in a Barrel" myth.

I was a little disappointed that the fish died.

Even given that he started dead.

I find it lame they just didn’t use live fish. That fish had to die somehow, and it’s not like anyone was going to eat it anyways. It’s just not them killing it, I guess that’s what keeps people happy. So instead they opened up one of the fish, and made it animitronic…(not in this clip)..weak.

I think if he had been alive, their theory might not have been confirmed. I’ve heard sea bass can dodge machine gun fire.

And how does one go about acquiring a job like they have?

Yes ben, I too have heard that Sea Bass can outswim most machine gun fire. However, the typical Sea Bass can only out-swim 27568 bullets per minute. This gun was rated at 30,000. I’m afraid the Sea Bass would not survive.
