You know the market's in a recession when Google enters a hiring freeze.

On a more personal level, here's my retirement (glad it's 40 years off). We changed providers pretty recently, so you're looking at just a few months of data. Yellow is employee/company contributed, blue is actual value.

    Mine looks pretty similar except the Y axis incremented by dollars instead of thousands of dollars.

    heh yeah mine looks similar. Mine is down close to 30% since the start of the year.

    The advantage of working for lousy hourly wages with no benefits: I’ve lost nothing. Mostly since I have nothing there to lose.

    yea, we implemented a external hiring freeze a couple weeks ago, not so good time to be a banker.
