Weekend Update

March 19th, 2007

A busy weekend was had, as the San Diego kids hosted Minnesota, and pretty much everywhere else. Friday night was a bonfire at Coronado Island, then early Saturday morning was the 10k (with around 20 participants from our group!), followed by the Scavenger Hunt and finally the Jam Session. Sunday we all were invited to the Hazelrigg's (Thanks Scott & Jeanette!) to enjoy wonderful food, and lounge around/destroy their house.

I really don't have that many photos of the weekend, but here are a few quick recaps:

Our team decided to be lazy and enjoy ourselves instead of the scavenger hunt, so here is a photo of an airplane I took on our journeys:

Then we decided to eat --Rebekah chews on some candy, Bri eats her orange, and Ben does something:
Baja Fresh

Finally a great showing of bands at the Jam Session, with Kingbenny & The Commoners opening (and closing) it up:

I have to say that I’m a little concerned. I’m pretty sure that this is how hippies got started. There was no beat poetry read aloud, was there?

I tried to fit some Kerouac poetry into my set, Ron, but the crowd hated it. So, not to worry.

Love the green, go St. Pattys day, its our holiday, speaking for redheads that is.
